Honda has revealed the pricing details of the 2023 CR-V before it hits the US dealership on September 22. The redesigned compact crossover now doesn’t include LX entry-level trim level, which means the EX will be the starting point of the range. It will retail at $32,355 (all values comprise $1,245 destination fee). It is a big increase since the 2022 LX’s starting cost was $28,045.

The base EX model gives customers both front- and all-wheel drive options, whereas the latter costs $33,855, which is a $1,500 increase over the front-wheel-drive EX.

The EX will be powered by Honda’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder mill that mates a continuously variable transmission and generates 190 horsepower (141 kilowatts) and 179 pound-feet (242 Newton-meters) of torque.

The Sport model is a step down from the EX, costing $33,695 for the front-wheel-drive and $35,195 for the all-wheel-drive configuration. Both Sport models house a 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain pumping out a total of 204 hp (152 kW) and 247 lb-ft (334 Nm) of torque.

These variants look different from the EX due to their shiny black exterior accents, rectangular exhaust finishers, and 18-inch wheels. The interior also gives a distinct feel through a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

A step above the flagship model is the EX-L trim level, which again is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel layouts. The FWD model goes for $35,005, whereas the AWD demands $36,505.

At the top of the product range, we have the 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Touring. It is accessible in only hybrid, all-wheel-drive configuration, costing $39,845. Being the range-topper, it is the most premium variant in the lineup featuring 19-inch wheels, a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, and WiFi hotspot capability.

While the amenities add up with every trim up the ladder, the Honda Sensing driver-assistant safety suite, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are the standard features. The 2023 CR-V model will be the first to get the hill descent control.

Honda plans to start the sale of the sixth-generation CR-V this month, kicking off with the turbo models. The hybrid models will be available from October 2022.

The pricing for the UAE market isn’t available yet. However, we can tell the 2022 CR-V starts at AED 94,900.
