The Hyundai Ioniq 6 has finally removed its veil and showed its exterior and interior curves. Unfortunately, the company only revealed its pictures. We did not get any technical information about the new EV from the South Korean automaker.

The earlier teaser proposed the new Ioniq 6 as an electrified streamliner and it lives 100% to its claim. The arched styling makes it an air glider thanks to the design cues borrowed from the Prophecy concept. While we do not know its drag coefficient, we definitely bet on its aerodynamic efficiency.

Looking at the fascia, we find minimalist design and vertical pieces on the lower end of every side. The hood is sleek and the lifted portions of the headlights go to the A-pillars.

The side profile features an arching beltline, which highlights the roof’s twist. We can also find delicate shaping in the lower part of the doors. Furthermore, we see cameras at the place of side mirrors as well as irregular-shaped wheels.

The rear design is sporty, to say the least with a spoiler at the lower end of the window and a slight ducktail spoiler underneath it. As with most new vehicles, it gets full-width taillights but that has its unique design of squares giving it a retro-modern look. At the lower end of the vehicle, we see two vertical sections with red and white reflectors featuring the same light pattern as we find in the taillights.

While there is no information accessible regarding the interior, we can deduce a lot actually from the available images. We can see two displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment that are part of one glass piece. On the extreme sections of the dashboard, we find room for a display to show the camera video feed. Various buttons are available below the dash to run different vehicle functions.

The steering wheel is two-spoke, featuring various knobs on both sides. We also see four, square lights in the mid of the wheel. We are not sure of their purpose yet; these could be decorative or might serve a function.

Furthermore, the images show a streak of purple accent light on the dash and a blue glow visible from the lower section of the doors. Can these lights change their shade or not, we literally have no idea about it yet.

What we know is that the new Hyundai Ioniq 6 is built on the E-GMP platform that also underpins the Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. Rumors say that it will feature a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack and two electric motors, capable of delivering 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts). Single-motor and more performance-oriented models would be a part of the range later on, reportedly.
