Rivian has started deliveries of the all-electric R1S SUV, and the first two examples were handed over to its two most important executives – the CEO (RJ Scaringe) and CFO (Claire McDonough).
Previously, the first example of the R1T was given to RJ Scaringe. It seems to be a norm for the startup to deliver its vehicles to its employees first to find out any problems in the vehicles and rectify the issues before handing them to the customers.
“We’re working towards ramping production over the next few months on our way to full volume production. Thanks to our team for all the hard work to make it happen!”
The startup has a huge task ahead because they are launching three products at the same time. They already have about 71,000 pre-orders, and with the current pace, they will miss the delivery target.
