The 2022 Hyundai Kona N has received its pricing details. The Performance crossover will cost $35,425 (comprising $1,225 destination fee). The automaker didn’t introduce an online configurator, but we know it will hit the roads this fall.
The sporty crossover comes with a powerful turbocharged 2.0-litre direct injection mill churning out 276 horsepower (206 kilowatts) and 289 pound-feet (392 Newton-meters) of torque. The engine mates to a dual-clutch eight-speed transmission and offers overboost to bump up the horsepower to 286 (213 kW) for a short while to give you an extra punch.
The automaker claims the 2022 Hyundai Kona N can zoom to 100 km/h from a standstill in 5.5 seconds and tops out at 240 km/h.
The standard facilities encompass an electronic limited-slip front differential, distinct 19-inch forged aluminium wheels, and a toughened chassis. The five drive modes modify the exhaust tone, steering weight, throttle mapping, and other things. Inside, you will find microfiber suede seat faces, faux leather inserts, and blue accents.
The 2022 Hyundai Kona N is joining the league of Veloster N and other high-performance models. Hyundai plans to introduce many more N models in the future.
