For the 2022 model year, Chevy’s two full-size SUVs are getting a range of upgrades. The biggest change for the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban is greater than before accessibility of the 6.2-litre V-8 engine we find standard on the range-topping High Country trim. Customers can now have it on the RST, Z71, and Premier models.

Opting for the 6.2-litre on the RST, the vehicle will come with GM’s Magnetic Ride Control damping system, which is elective on the Z71 and come by default on the Premier and High Country.

All trim levels across the range get a standard 5.3-litre V-8 except for the High Country. Moreover, all trims can mate to the Duramax 3.0-litre turbodiesel six-cylinder, excluding Z71. Another new addition for the 2022 Chevy Taho and Suburban is the availability of an electronic limited-slip differential for the Z71, allowing drivers to employ it in the 4WD Low setting.

The new 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban receive the latest 12.3-inch display, which is standard across the range, excluding the base LS trim. Furthermore, the Google apps, including Assistant, Maps, Play, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, are accessible on the LT variant and above.

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban now offer 13 distinct camera views, with a few designed to assist in towing. Moreover, Chevy has added Park assist, lane-keep assist, and lane departure warning on both SUVs. Another feature, Buckle to Drive, is there to remind the driver and front passenger to fasten their seatbelt before the driver engages the gear.

Yukon Denali

Besides the Tahoe and Suburban, GM has also announced identical updates for the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL for the upcoming model year. The 6.2-litre V-8 is accessible on the AT4 trim with the dual exhaust, whereas inside the SUVs get a standard 12.0-inch display throughout the range. Furthermore, the Google-based systems are a standard affair in the 2022 Yukon, and a power-sliding centre console is a part of the deal on the Denali.

While the Yukon is now accessible in Redwood Metallic, the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban get Evergreen Gray Metallic, Auburn Metallic, and Dark Ash Metallic shades. To know more about the 2022 Yukon, we have to wait. However, we can tell that the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban will hit the assembly lines in October. The deliveries should start before the end of this year.

The pricing details are not available yet. For comparison, we can tell that the 2020 Tahoe SUV starts at AED 179,300 in the UAE while the Suburban goes for AED 199,500 at least.
