The 2022 Honda Civic hatchback seems to be more appealing than its sedan counterpart since it offers extra cargo capacity and a manual gearbox on some trim levels. The pricing information is out and the hatchback costs $23,915 for the entry-level LX and goes as high as $30,415 for the Sport Touring.

The pricing here is around $1000 to $1900 greater than the same sedan trim levels, which come only with an auto gearbox.

The 2022 Honda Civic hatchback gives buyers two powerplant choices including a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four generating 158 hp and a turbocharged 1.5-litre inline-four producing 180 hp, both offered with a standard continuously variable automatic transmission.

The 2.0L mill is standard on the LX and Sport ($25,115), with the latter available with a six-speed manual transmission, as a no-cost choice. The more powerful turbocharged engine is standard on the EX-L hatch ($27,615) and Sport Touring ($30,415) with a CVT and the latter is accessible with a manual, as well.

Besides, the manual and price difference, another distinction between the hatch and sedan models is the EX-L trim for the hatchback with leather upholstery. The sedan offers EX with cloth seats and to get upgraded upholstery, buyers have to go for the Touring model.

The 2022 Honda Civic hatchback is hitting the dealerships this week. We didn’t hear from Honda UAE about its arrival in the Emirates.
