Hyundai has released a few images of the 2022 Custo minivan, which will debut at the Chengdu Auto Show this month. The images of the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), as the automaker calls it, reached us through Beijing Hyundai. They posted these on China’s Sina Weibo social media website, showing Custo’s resemblance to Tucson.

Those interested in minivans might remember that the 2022 Custo was previously leaked by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in its homologation activity. The images shared then were basically more transparent than the ones shared now.

Regarding the interior, Hyundai also revealed it through teaser images in July. Seeing those, we know the 2022 Custo comes with a 10.4-inch touchscreen and seating for seven – two captain’s chairs and a bench seat at the rear.

Although we do not have details of the powertrain, we know the government leaked specifications included a turbocharged 1.5-litre generating 167 horsepower (124.5 kilowatts). However, we expect other powertrains as well, such as a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine.

That’s it for now! We will provide you with the complete details about the 2022 Custo at the end of August.
