Chevrolet has finally introduced the 2022 Equinox with a reduced price. Originally made for 2021, the automaker delayed the compact crossover last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the 2022 model year, Chevy has dropped the most inexpensive L variant. The facelifted crossover should hit the roads in the 3rd quarter of this year.
The base 2022 Equinox LS now starts at $26,995, which is $600 lower than the 2021 model. The higher-spec LT costs $28,095, a $700 cut from last year, and the loaded Premier goes for $32,195, a $500 reduction. At the place of L, the automaker has added the Equinox RS, which costs $31,295.
All the 2022 Equinox crossovers boast a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four generating 170 horsepower. Unfortunately, the more powerful turbo 2.0-liter four isn’t a part of the package now. All models come with a standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional.
