The organizers have abandoned the 2021 Detroit Auto Show and proposed a multi-day affair known as Motor Bella at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan. The event will take place from September 21 to 26, however, the public can only witness it from September 23 to 26.

It will entirely be an outdoor affair to counter the coronavirus threats. Furthermore, we will get to enjoy vehicle test drives on the 1.5-mile track.

The organizers are terming this event more thrilling than the typical auto show providing people a chance to see performance cars in action or experience their technology.

We do not know yet who will take part at the NAIAS, so we have to wait to find that.

“The pandemic has caused changes in our society and world in ways not previously imagined, and we all should be looking for new and highly creative ways of doing business,” said Executive Director Rod Alberts in the new announcement. “This new event captures that creative spirit. It will provide new mobility experiences and increasingly innovative approaches to tapping into the industry and its products.”

Of note, we have been unfortunate to not witness the NAIAS since January 2019. The June 2020 planned show was cancelled due to Coronavirus and it kept cancelling until 2021.
