The Ford Mustang Mach-E already delivers exceptional performance figures. However, if you are looking to get your hands on faster and more powerful variants, Ford might make it a reality.

Yes, we are talking about performance exceeding the GT Performance Edition. This is what we got from the interview of Jason Castriota, Ford’s global brand director for battery vehicles while talking to Road & Track.

“You can imagine that we can hopefully develop the Mustang Mach-E into greater performance versions,” Castriota stated in the meeting. Castriota also hinted at reviving the famous cars by offering their electrified models.

Talking about the performance of the crossover, the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition creates 480 horsepower (358 kilowatts) – similar to the standard GT – however torque is at 634 pound-feet (860 Newton-meters), instead of the standard 600 lb-ft (814 Nm). All the power enables the Performance Edition to accelerate from zero to 96 km/h in only 3.5 seconds.

However, the higher performance comes at the expense of the lower range. The Performance Edition offers 235 miles (378 kilometers) while the regular GT delivers 250 miles (402 kilometers).
