The Hyundai’s luxury wing has teased the new Genesis GV70 for the first time with an expected launch in a few weeks. The second high-riding model from the brand will be a rear-wheel drive, which will be tested in South Korea before the production starts.

Although the whole crossover is under wraps in teasers, we can clearly note the design has a resemblance with its big brother, the GV80. The two lines lighting idea, the big crest grille, and the bigger air intakes all look very commanding.

We also believe the new Genesis GV70 will borrow lots of equipment from the G70, which recently got a mid-cycle refresh. Keeping this in view, we expect a new 10.25-inch infotainment system, a completely digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and over-the-air updates.

The GV70 will reportedly house two turbocharged 2.5- and 3.5-liter gasoline engines and a 2.2-liter diesel in select markets. The luxury automaker is also working on an all-electric variant, which should come anytime next year. Both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive options will be available.

Expect the debut any time before the official launch in 2021.
