Instead of the usual one-year registration, the new light vehicle owners can now opt for two-year car registration in Sharjah, according to the decision made by the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department of the Sharjah Police General Command. The decision is made on Tuesday to provide maximum comfort to motorists.
Major General Saif Al Ziri Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, said that they are working to upgrade their services, which will help save the time of car owners.
Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Al Kay, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, reminded motorists to present a two-year valid insurance plan while applying for two-year car registration.
The two-year registration is optional for motorists, meaning owners can choose between a one-year or two-year plan.
