Cadillac’s push toward the EV-centric lineup looks more evident with the third ‘iq’ model. The luxury automaker already revealed the Lyriq and Celestiq models and now they have filed a patent for another name ending with ‘iq’ i.e. Symboliq, according to Cadillac Society. They have filed it with the US Patent and Trademark Office on July 21, 2020, and day after with the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.

While the Lyriq is making its debut on August 6 (delayed previously), we do not know when Celestiq will appear on the world’s stage. We are even not sure what class the Celestiq falls in. Some say it will be a luxury flagship sedan. Similarly, we do not know what body layout the Symboliq will take. Our best prediction is a small crossover near the size of the XT4.

Talking about the Cadillac Lyriq – the brand’s first EV- we believe it will be more like its concept which was showcased last year. Slight changes like different LED headlights and coupe-like roofline are expected in the production model though.
