While many automakers in the world are still unsure about resuming their production operations, GAC Motor recently restarted it after overcoming various challenges. In addition, to fight against the coronavirus epidemic, its parent company, GAC Group is going to produce face masks at its facilities. The company has also donated over RMB 34.38 million worth of funds, protective supplies, and vehicles to institutions working to fight against this virus.

GAC Motor’s suppliers and affiliates in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa have also been helpful in this fight against COVID-19. They have contributed anti-epidemic supplies like masks and protective goggles to support front-line healthcare workers.

To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, GAC Motor has also advised its overseas partners to introduce online platforms for customers allowing them to purchase vehicles from the comfort of their homes.

When it comes to production, the automaker is working hard to implement its G-HEALTH Cabin Project. The project is all about using environmental-friendly materials into interior design and add a new air quality system that will separate out more than 97% of PM2.5 particles. The future GAC cars featuring this technology will also use a triple filter air purification system and certified air conditioning filter, which will enhance the usefulness of droplet filtering and minimize droplet-based virus spread.
