Ford stunned every car enthusiast at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show with the Mustang Mach-E. The all-electric SUV was made available for reservation soon after its unveiling for a refundable $500. And in just 9 days, they sold out all the 2020 Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition cars, which shows the overwhelming response and interest of people in this zero-emission SUV.
Ford did not reveal how many units of the 2020 Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition they booked, but they surely would be in limited numbers, as the company hinted in a previous press release. Of course, not all reservations will translate into real sales, so those really looking to get their hands on this $61,000 ‘Stang’, will get a chance to book it soon. However, for now, it is unavailable.
The question is why so many people preferred the First Edition (FE) over the other models? Well, if we say one word, it is the ‘Exclusivity’ of the FE featuring AWD, red brake calipers, First Edition badging, metallic pedal covers, opposing seat stitching, a scuff plate with the “First Edition” letters and so on.
Ford plans to create around 50,000 Mach-E models in their first year of manufacturing and as the name suggests, the FE models will come first. Ford is looking to start deliveries in the last quarter of 2020. We should also expect the $51,700 Premium model along with the standard $44,995 Mach-E Select. The highly resourceful $53,500 Mach-E California Route 1 may reach at the start of 2021 followed by the $61,600 Mach-E GT.
