The 15th edition of the Dubai International Motor Show ended two days ago, and although all the automakers packed up and left the scene, we are still busy telling people how exciting the show was. One of the biggest highlights of the show was three new SUVs from Al Habtoor Motors, the official distributor of Mitsubishi in the UAE. These three new SUVs include the Outlander PHEV, the 2020 ASX, and the 2020 Montero Sport.

Starting with the new Outlander PHEV, Europe’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle stunned the crowd with its good looks, lower CO2 emissions, and silent drive. With a collective sales of over 200,000 units worldwide, you might not find a better plug-in hybrid electric vehicle than the Outlander. It gives a choice of three distinct driving modes to conquer different conditions. On the front, it features LED tech-look headlamps, rectangular front fog lamp bezels, a large front grille, and a front center cover skid plate.

The new 2020 ASX is another SUV from Mitsubishi, which is built to handle daily commutes easily thanks to its lightweight body and drivetrain options. The ASX carries a 2.0L MIVEC 16-valve engine assisted by an INVECS -III CVT with 6-speed Sports Mode. The safety is ensured through RISE impact safety body and a Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) braking system. Mitsubishi did not only update the front design by employing the Dynamic Shield front design concept, but the company also made several enhancements inside, including the Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) for improved connectivity.

Lastly, the new 2020 Montero Sport has progressed in every department. Also featuring Dynamic Shield front view design concept, it does not only look bolder but also gives a sense of wideness. The changes can be noticed everywhere; from the updated floor console to the new AC power outlet, everything adds a touch of quality and comfort. The safety facilities include Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and others. The Super-Select 4WD-II system allows drivers to select a drive mode as per the terrain they are driving on.

Apart from these three new SUVs, Mitsubishi Middle East also unveiled the e-Evolution Concept SUV at the show.
