On the last day of the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show, we bring you the most admiring electric vehicles. With the automotive world focusing on electrification and automation, we see every automaker is trying hard to win the race of sustainable mobility.

The most admiring electric vehicles of the show comprised of the Mercedes EQC, the BMW i3, the Jaguar I-PACE, the Chevrolet Bolt, the Mitsubishi PHEV Outlander, the GAC AionS, and the GAC GE3. Most of these will reach the Middle East next year, which shows these automaker’s commitment toward the UAE’s vision of reducing carbon emissions.

Chevrolet Bolt

At the show, GM’s President John Roth announced their plans to introduce the next-gen Chevy Bolt alongside the Onstar connected car platform.

Bruce Robertson, Managing Director at Jaguar Land Rover Middle East and North Africa discussed how the new Jaguar I-Pace would help Dubai reduce carbon emissions in the region.

Nissan LEAF

Nissan exhibited their vehicle-to-grid (V2G) solutions alongside its most successful EV, the LEAF. Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, stated: “Nissan has been a pioneer in EV technology for decades. In 2010 we introduced the world’s first mass-market EV, Nissan LEAF, that today is the world’s best-selling electric car surpassing 560,000 unit sales, solidifying the model’s role in the global shift toward sustainable mobility. This year, through our ‘Energy Sharing Corner’, we showcased how we can potentially revolutionize the way in which we generate and utilize energy. We want customers to see that future living involves using their electric cars for much more than just driving – they can be used in nearly every aspect of their lives.”

Alongside these mass-produced electric cars, how can we forget about the all-electric Aspark OWL Japanese hypercar. With 1,150 horsepower on tap, the car can hit 100kmph in only 1.9  seconds. The manufacturer calls it the world’s fastest accelerating electric car, with a top speed of 280kmph and 300 kilometers of range.

These admiring electric vehicles will soon be a part of the Middle East’s landscape, giving customers an opportunity to contribute toward the environment. Head over to the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show now to take a closer look at these most admiring electric vehicles.
